I slowly switched from 188-190 g combos to 175 g and my shoulder (and elbow) are very thankful for that. First thing I did, was switching to lighter rubbers (same speed, sometimes 2.0 instead of 2.2, sometimes softer sponge etc), and then I asked Charlie (BBC) to build me a 80 g blade instead of 90 g blades I used to play with. Sometimes simply changing your core wood from Limba or WRC to Balsa or Bahogany solves the problem. But that's only for those who like custom-built blades. Guilty...

are custom blades tailored to such specifications can be USATT or ITTF legal?
