He has said he wants "speed," but his "speed" is most likely different compared to that of a player who has played competitively for a while. The lower on the skill set, the lower your standard of "speed."
I remember when I first started out playing competitive table tennis, this one guy's shots seemed like bullets compared to my cardboard shield. Now, he is just a USATT 800-1000 player whom I can handle with ease.
